folks, i'm close to getting mad - those rows of users complaining about passive mode only.
is anybody willing and able to give a step by step instruction for this damn port forwarding ?
thanx in advance for anyhelp - i think SP was the best of all available DC clients and it's a shame to be excluded from using it

First thing to do is set your computer to a permanent IP address like 10.0.1.2 your router will typically default to 10.0.1.1 address (you dont say what router you have). Then access your router and tell it to send stuff from the port you set in SP preferences to your computer IP you set. (ie., in my case I am using port 1412 and set the router to forward port 1412 to port 1412 on my computer at address IP 10.0.1.2

hard to say what my router is: i'm using mobile internet with a Huawei E272 USB modem (the predecessor was a Huawei USB stick, the current model is more modem-like); this kind of modems create a direct connection to the internet without a router being accessible; btw. sorry for replying this late, i wasn't notified on you post.
