Open Source Direct-Connect client for Mac OS X

Hi
After starting Shakespeer it starts downloading but the app stops downloading after a few seconds.
When I want to re-start the app I get the message "Initializing Databases" for a very very very long time. And nothing happens anymore.
I found a work around on this forum by deleting some files in "application support" but the errors re-occur.
Any suggestions?
